"The big man from the Isle of Man put a massive attack on the 2007 Can-Am GNCC Series, and it resulted in the ’07 GNCC Championship. After Knight dominated around the world for two years, the Red Bull KTM squad invited him to race in the U.S. once ’05 and ’06 series champion Juha Salminen moved back to Europe. Knight may be the only rider in the world who can measure up to Juha’s standards, packing an unstoppable combination of size, strength and skill, as well as a spirit that will not accept defeat. Several times this year he faced adversity, from bad luck and nagging injuries to a grueling schedule that saw him chase the AMA EnduroCross Championship alongside the GNCCs. He returned home to his native Europe between each race, and he even went to Australia over the summer and won the coveted Aussie Four-Day Enduro! Despite such a wild travel plan and some bad luck, Knight managed to come out swinging at the GNCCs each time, and he notched seven wins in 13 rounds to collect the title. Furthermore he proved a dynamic presence at the races, with an amazing riding style and a big personality to match. In many ways Knight seems larger than life, and his reputation as an international star helped even further heighten the awareness of the GNCC Championship. He will pursue his second-straight title in 2008."

Won by David Knight in 2007, it is one of the toughest series. There are two classes of bikes in the series. The first is XC1 Pro(122cc-Open), and the second it XC2 Lites(122-125cc 2-strokes; 122-250cc 4-strokes). "Knighter" races in the Pro class. He is currently riding a KTM 450 XC-W 4 stroke although I believe he rode a KTM 300cc 2-stroke last year. The motorcycle race will be a minimum 2:45 to 3 hour race and goes through some of the toughest terrain imaginable. In the current 2008 season David Knight sits on top once again winning the first race outright and coming in 3rd in the second race. The next race is scheduled to take place on March 30th in Morganton NC. You can go here to follow Knighter in this series. Also, go here for some GNCC video highlights of Knighter. Here are a few pics that I found that I like of Knight in some of his recent races along with his 300XC!
