It was way past time for new rear brakes. I decided on the Galfer wave rotor to match the front rotor I installed last summer. I purchased the Galfer rotor through Rocky Mountain ATV because they had the best price and free shipping. The Galfer rotors are high carbon steel, heat treated and zinc coated to produce a rotor capable of withstanding the torturous conditions of off road use. So far I am very happy with the front rotor. My old rotors would heat up and warp causing the front tire to drag at times, or cause unpredictable breaking. The Galfer rotor is laser cut and the wave design is better at dissipating heat and cleans out better than a standard rotor. It has never warped and is very predictable. It also has very little wear at this point.
